Right now I'm working on centerpieces. My colours are burnt orange and navy but because it's a summer wedding I'm adding sunflowers... im still trying to figure out what to do with the mason jar. I'd like to hide the stems and add more white into it.... I bought burlap but not sure what to do yet.

I'm also a huge DIY queen! I love my Cricut! So far I haven't done a whole lot of wedding DIYs (wedding also in 2022). What I have mostly worked on is my bridesmaid proposal boxes and I did custom photo cufflinks for my dad and his dad. I also plan to work on a memorial lantern to have at the reception and a corresponding "reserved for" memorial plaque/sign for a seat at the ceremony to honour loved ones who we will be missing on our big day!

View quoted message Thank you!! ☺️☺️ I am really happy with how they are turning out. I've changed my mind on a few flowers. Originally I had more peach/coral in the bouquets but I preferred the softer look so those are only going in the decor pieces instead.
I am sure you will do great! Biggest thing is finding what you like. Michael's has good sales of buy one get one free which is what I just hit up or if you have any local wholesaler. Also I know some posted florals for less or afloral have really nice flowers online.

Probably all of the florals I've been working on! Bouquets aren't completed that's just bunched together for an idea of what it is going to look like. I actually just finished buying flowers from Michael's today for the boutonnieres and corsages. The wood signs we are doing I am excited for! I enjoy being creative and it's the one thing I have control over with our rescheduled wedding this summer.

I did a ton of DIYs (like basically everything) but we had an extremely small ceremony and my husband and I just ate dinner at home and zoomed with our families. I probably wouldn't do most of them for a "normal" wedding. I think the ones that came out the best were the eucalyptus garland I made and our cake. We were the only ones eating our cake due to covid so I didn't want to spend a lot of money on it. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out but I definitely will not be doing this again when we have our big reception. Way more work than I anticipated!

Pre-covid, I was hoping to shoot a mini-movie to play at the wedding but we'll see if that can still be done. I've seen my groomsmen a total of three times in person since I asked them to be in my bridal party.
