Faux bouquets

I haven't actually looked at any one vendor in particular. I was just going to search for the flowers I wanted and pick through. A friend of mine purchased some and showed them to me - they're beautiful, certainly better than anything you could get at Michael's.

I bought mine off a fb page as well. Good quality and very affordable. I definitely recommend you check out buy and sell pages around you.

The black is just the lighting, the flowers were eggplant purple and green. We added the maps because my wedding was travel-themed! Good luck, they aren't hard to make but very time consuming. My mom had about 9000 petals to cut out (I had my bouquet plus 6 bridesmaids). If you know anyone with a Cricut machine, it saves a bunch of time (if you are doing paper of course).

Michaels also holds DIY bouquet classes if you want to make them yourself. Just give the store a call and see when they offer their next class, if you want to go that route as well. May be something fun for you to do with your bridesmaids!

I went with faux flowers and got them made out of paper. My mom made the bouquets (she watched a few youtube videos) but wasn't confident in making the boutonnieres so I went to an Etsy store. I loved all of them, and highly suggest going this route. Etsy sellers are great to work with, and they can help with the details as much as meeting in person (I emailed my seller my bouquet so she could match the colours to the boutonnieres. Here's a pic of the flowers and a link to the seller if you are interested. She did take a while to make them (about 2 months), so definitely inquire early, but I ordered in January for my March wedding and they were delivered with time to spare (about 2 weeks). https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/TreeTownPaper

I'm in Ottawa! If you're not already in the group - definitely check out Ottawa Wedding Items for Sale on Facebook- there are brides who sell their bouquets but I've also seen a few ad posts for people who make them.

Once you're added to the group, search "artificial" at the top and some posts should pop up!

Unfortunately I don't know where you should go in Ottawa... but this is a lovely idea! My mom did faux flower bouquets when she got married to my step dad, and her, me and my sister (we were flower girls), all still have ours! It's a really nice momento to be able to keep!

Fair warning though, it can be just as expensive, if not more, to get the faux flowers, but in my opinion, it's worth it to invest in the best looking ones, because you are going to have them/see them for more than just one day!

You can find sooooo many wonderful things on there! Also check out local facebook groups for used wedding goodies. You'd be surprised with what you can find from other brides and grooms as well. I purchased 3 huge bags of fake flowers off of a woman on facebook for $20! There had to have been at lease $300+ worth of flowers in the bag.
