Fake bouquet for bouquet toss - thoughts?

Jenny, on May 26, 2022 at 03:51 Posted in Before the wedding 0 10
Another post made me think of this so I’d love some opinions! What do y’all think about a fake bouquet for the bouquet toss? I want to keep my bouquet so I’m thinking of buying a fake floral bouquet specifically to use for the toss.

My florist included a free toss bouquet with our order, and for that she's using artificial, i love the idea of real but it could be messy when hurling through the air and smashes the floor if it does or it could be super damaged post throw.

We are doing fresh flowers for everything. I got a great deal for all of our boutonnieres, bridesmaid bouquets, brides bouquet and corsages all for less than $300 at Safeway! We will just have another bouquet made for the tossing, as it is so cheap.

Jenny we are the opposite, I got someone to do silk bouquets for me and my girls, the venue I booked includes fresh flower bouquets.

I was looking at tiktoks for fresh flower bouquets ideas and what to do with them to preserve them after the wedding and some where flower press, resin and it meant drying the flowers first and I got overwhelmed and said F*** it I'm going fake. I will be getting 3 fresh flowered bouquets where I will be using 1 for the bouquet toss and the other 2 for the memorial chairs for my mom and his grand-father.

Every wedding I went to it was all fake flowered bouquets, one of them did have fresh flowers but by the time the girls attacked the bouquet it was in pieces so this should be fun. I've also never met anyone to keep the bouquet afterwards, the ones I caught I ended up getting rid of them, no room.

I'm doing the same thing! I'm having my bouquet pressed and framed after the wedding so I'm going to get a small fake one to throw instead!

At this time we aren't planning a bouquet toss-most of our guests are already married

This is what my bestie did. She literally bought one from Michaels that was pre-made to toss. I think this is a great idea if you want to do this, as it can even allow the person that caught it to keep it as well!

I was going to get my florist to make me one if we were going to do the bouquet toss but since we decided to not do this, she used the flowers that were going to go into the mini bouquet for mine and my MOH's bouquet instead.

Talk to your florist and see if they can make a mini one for that

Another alternative, if any of bridesmaids don't plan to keep there's, you can toss one of their bouquets

Some florists will include a toss bouquet (mine did) but if yours doesn't, I'd definitely just buy/make one with faux florals
