Fabric advice

Randelle, on December 5, 2019 at 23:59 Posted in DIY 0 10

Fabric advice 1 HI all! I hope someone can help me. I'm trying to find a fabric such as the one pictured - I've tried "fishnet" and "cheesecloth" and nothing really comes up similar. Does anyone have any idea of what you might call this? Bonus points for links 😊
It's going to be our 'table runners' Thanks in advance!!

Do you have a photo! I was going to opt for cheesecloth if the "creepy cloth" looks too... Creepy 😂 thanks so much for the links!

I found cheesecloth and used Rit dye to dye it grey for our table runners!

It looks like a variant of cheesecloth or tulle. You can get the same feel with both, just different textures.

Thanks for your reply. That's too bad Smiley sad I think we found an alternative though, "creepy cloth" in white and I'll dye it the color I want. Thanks for your help! Smiley smile

Thanks so much for your reply! That's exactly what I ended up stumbling upon last night. I'm definitely going to be dying it! You're awesome, thank you!

To me it kind of looks like a spider web cloth type of material - like what you would stretch out to look like cobwebs at halloween.

Not sure if you will be able to find any at this point but if you do then I would just try dying it!

It looks hand knit shawl to me, probably made with a mohair/mohair blend yarn which gives it a bit of halo. I think it is a very loose knit rib stitch. I don't think you will be able to buy that by the metre.
