Escort cards

Valerie, on December 20, 2016 at 20:49 Posted in DIY 0 30
Hey ladies!I need your collective wisdom and opinions. It's too early for me to start making them yet, but I'm trying to decide on what style I like for the escort cards... what do you think? These are obviously just rough, I'll fix the font and make them nicer for the real deal?Smiley winking So what do you like better... option 1: square card with the table symbol drawn and name and table number written, or option 2: the symbol cut out with the name and table number written on?

Oh plenty of time. Cricuts are the freaking greatest for wedding crafting!!! This template took me MAYBE 30 mins to do, but that included designing it, so now that's done I just have to spend a few hours creating all of them in some software, then the machine cuts it out and writes on them in a few minutes. So lots of work, but not as much as you'd thinkSmiley smile

Darn! Smiley winking Well make sure to use something heavy so that they don't fall over like all of mine did! (Or I recommend getting tack in advance so you can stick them to the table! Haha yay for last minute wedding problems...)

HAHA the holder was just what I had in the house, won't be used for the wedding, I'm pretty sure my venue has some nice ones to use

I just realized I never answered your question about the table names. I'm kind of doing both the character and the number. I find it annoying to try and find tables with names in a room so I really wanted something with numbers (ie level 1 as table 1), but the same characters (I picked awesome gaming duos) will always be associated with the same "level"Here are some test numbers I made last night!

(Fixed... I don't know why it rotated the first time)

Hahah I think it's because option 2 is a lot more unique than option 1, that's why it's voted for more Smiley winking

I actually used my Cricut to cut and print on them (how I got the nice font) so it's better to do the cutting and printing at the same time. I haven't decided on the table names, but so far I like "level" or "world"... but I love the L and e's in this font, so I'll probably do level lol
Invitations are going out at the end of January/beginning of February and RSVP deadline is March 20ish (can't remember the exact date at the moment). So I left myself enough time... I just hate waiting lol

I also love option 2! You could probably precut them out and then write on them once you get all the RSVPs back. Are the tables assignments the design or the levels? (Like the Spiro table or Level 1 table?) Because if it's just the level, you could fill them out with the names and then throw out tthe ones you don't need.

When are you sending out your invitations/getting them back?

Thanks, I would slim down option 1, but I think I agree and like number 2 better anyways

Thankfully not that much more work! Love my fancy crafting machine... makes my life so much easier!

If only I could work on them before all the RSVPs come in and the seating chart is done Smiley sad

I think I like the 2nd option better! I think at least based on the photo, the first option, they are too big! Just my personal opinion though.
