I am thinking the waterfront as you suggested and then some at the Pickering Museum Village. I love all the old houses!

I personally love Port Perry. Very nice small town vibes that makes you feel like you're back in time. You can stroll the town, hit up the waterfront by the marina, and still get the obligatory park photo in case you want one. There are also a bunch of apple farms there if that's something you'd like to include.

We had ours taken at the Frenchmans Bay in Pickering. Beautiful spot. And also went to the UofT park in Scarborough, so many hidden gems too there . Gorgeous scenery. I always wanted some pictures at the Pickering Village but we ran out of time.
