Hello Wedding Wire Fam! Since it's a new year with a whole bunch of new members, I though I would post about engagement photos and get everyone out of their comfort zone and post some pictures!

Have you and your significant other done engagement photos already or are you about to have them done? Or have you even decided not to get photos done and just axe the idea of an engagement shoot all together? When and where did you and your fiance get them done at?!

It's already nice to see where everyone has got them done since everyone has many different ideas for shoots!

I had entered a contact with a local photographer for a free engagement shoot through Facebook in the early part of 2019 and we had won!

My fiance and I had our engagement shoot done in July 2019 at the Fort Edmonton Park Footbridge Smiley heart

    Since we postponed the wedding to next year might do another engagement photos shoots this year. I think fall is a beautiful colour and also spring.

    That makes total sense! One of my bridesmaids and one of my friends has worked with our wedding photographer and said she was really easy to connect with so I am excited!

    It really is important and to have a good connection with them as well is key! We're in the same boat as well. We didn't want to spend a huge amount of money on a photographer and we didn't want to spend money on travel/accom. for the photographer so we just decided to go with someone local.

    I'm glad you are excited for your wedding photographer! That's important! If we had a higher budget, we would have stuck with the photographer that did those engagement pictures. I totally think she's worth the price she charges, its just not in our budget.

    If we were getting married in Alberta and not BC, we would've chosen our photographer that had done our engagement photos since she was great to work with and the photos turned out great! But we're excited for our other photographer that we've chosen for our big day in Kelowna!

    They're beautiful! Smiley heart That's exciting that you get to have a second time around with your engagement photos! Since you're using your photographer that you're using for your wedding, it's a great time to see how she really works and you'll have an idea of how your photos will turn out for your wedding!

    We opted for an urban/city setting for our engagement shoot since we'll be on some green space during our wedding.

    My Fiancé and I won an engagement shoot through Instagram! I am sooo happy with how the photos turned out!!! We will also be doing a 2nd engagement shoot with our wedding photographer this summer!
