Engagement Photo Shoot Locations

Melissa, on September 12, 2019 at 16:14 Posted in Before the wedding 0 7

Hi Everyone,

So, my FH and I were planing on doing our engagement shoot at Royal Botanical Gardens. I reached out to them, got the permit, paid the fee a month ago and today I get an email saying the there was a mistake and the time we chose was unavailable as the garden closes at 4pm and our shoot was set for 5:30pm.

I'm having a hard time finding new location ideas that I like as much a RBG and I already scheduled the photographer for that date and time and don't want to change it.

I'm looking for any location suggestions for our engagement shoot

Thank you in advance Smiley smile

If you don’t mind the drive to Mississauga (Port Credit) there is a place called Adamson Estate. It is a public park now and the Royal Conservatory of Music used it or still uses it as one of their campuses. There is a gorgeous white building with a red door, trees all around and a pathway to the lake where you can also take pictures.

If you are wanting outdoor, I would suggest the place we got married. There is this little butterfly garden in Dundas called Urquhart Butterfly Garden. Its lovely and natural and is almost like a maze with its wending paths. Adjacent to it is Canal Park, which has a deck over the canal. We just loved it! The butterfly garden doesn't require a permit for photography with less than 10 people. The deck in Canal Park is owned by the HCA and does need a permit ($75).

The Gage Park greenhouse in Hamilton is nice and I know they do shoots in the evening.
Are you interested in outdoor locations as well?
