Engagement photo shoot - indoors or outdoors?

We did ours indoors!

The owner of a local board game cafe, the Board Room, let us in an hour before opening to take our photos. It was where we went on a lot of our early dates and go for birthdays, etc. It was great

We did ours outside.. wilcox lake in richmond hill.. it was a spur of the moment location change but it was soooooo beautiful.

Our official shoot with our wedding photographer we did during the winter lights in December 2017.
Then we won a Valentine's Day contest and got a free photoshoot so we kind of made that a second engagement shoot and that was also outdoors at a local park in March 2018.

We're doing ours outside in the fall (we got engaged and will be getting married in the fall). It's important to me to get a few photos with my horse so we'll likely take a gander back into the fields and woods behind the farm. Can't wait

We just did our engagement photos on Tuesday. We did them outdoors at Wascana Trails. The weather was perfect! I can't wait to see them!!

We'll be going to Tumbler Ridge for ours in June - I'm hoping to get some nice water fall photos!

We did two sets. The first ones we did down on pier and it was for our friend to add "engagement photos" to his photography portfolio. The second set we did at the Guild Park in Scarborough with a professional photographer.

Right now we’re just doing outdoor photos at Osgoode Hall in 10 days!

The photographer recommended some indoor shots at a restaurant but I am having a hell of a time finding a location that doesn’t charge 😑

to be honest, I’m happy with just Osgoode Hall.

We haven't gone yet, since FH would like to take photos in winter, the season we got engaged, but we'll be going back to where he proposed, it's outside near the Saskatoon river

FH really wanted to have our wedding at our local ski hill (in the summer) but they were really difficult to deal with and didn't have enough space for the ceremony. Instead we found a great wedding venue in town and have compromised that we're going to take our engagement photos up on the hill instead (I'm pretty happy with this compromise - it's gorgeous up there)!

We both mountain bike, so we may also try to get a few pictures of us on our bikes while we're up there too.

We haven't done ours yet because we wanted to wait till we found our photographer so we could test them before the wedding. We should be booking her soon, then we will set up a time. We want to do outdoor photos but with the weather, I plan to have some backup locations.
