Engagement Party Ideas?

Brooke, on July 15, 2021 at 09:36 Posted in Before the wedding 1 4

Hello fellow Brides!

My fiance and I got engaged last November and he arranged it to be a surprise celebration afterwards so we never really got down to having an actual engagement party. We recently just bought a house and move into it at the end of September so we've reserved a time for after that to host our real engagement party.

What are some fun and unique ideas that we could do in relation to games, food and decorations? We're wanting to keep with the rustic/vintage/country theme so if any of you lovely brides have some input, I'd greatly appreciate it! Smiley smile Smiley heart

    Thanks Hank!

We do have a pretty active bunch and quite a large bridal party so that would be fun! Thanks for the food ideas - stuff like that will feed a crowd!

If your crowd is the active type, you can always have beach-type activities like frisbee and soccer. If the park has a firepit, you can roast marshmallows and smores. I'm not much of a sweets person so I like to roast peppers and mushrooms (the vegetable, not the drug lol). You can also do meat kabobs.

Ah the golf game sounds cool! We have a park across the street from our new house that will allow us to have alcohol and small events if we get a permit, so we're thinking of something along the same lines as you, just low-key and chill Smiley smile

    Thanks Megan!

We are going to do something similar since we bought our house and got engaged during the pandemic! So we are having a backyard party and will be supplying some champagne but it will be BYOB other than that. So far my plan is to have cornhole, beer pong and maybe a golf game set up. I'll do some light appetizers too. But mostly it'll just be a chill party Smiley smile
