Engagement party?

Hi all,

Fiance and I got engaged 2 weeks ago and the Wedding is in March 2018. We want to skip either the bridal shower/stag or the engagement party cause it seems like a lot in a small amount of time.

Which one do you think is better to do at this point? Engagement Party or Co-Ed Jack and Jill? How long before the wedding should we do it?

    Yes I think we've decided Jack and Jill is the way to go. Might even do a summer thing since we have the yard space for a bonfire/BBQ. Thanks for the suggestion!

    If it was me, I would do a Jack and Jill. before Christmas would be a good time to do it. if that is what you want to do. We skipped all that stuff.

    Yes we did. And it was very successful. We raised $4100 which pays for us to go on a honeymoon

    So for your Jack and Jill, did you sell tickets and use games and stuff to raise money for the wedding?

    For us we didn't do an engagement party, we had a jack and jill to raise money for the wedding! I think it is all based on personal preference! Everyone will have a different preference. My friend had her engagment party this weekend, her wedding is next May. I did my jack and jill in May, and my wedding is in August.
