Engagement Parties

We aren’t going to have an engagement party but we are having an engagement dinner with our parents, grandparents and siblings

Instead of an engagement party since it was in late 2020, we just visited each of our parents for dinner. Keep it low key, the bridal shower and wedding itself can be difficult for most to attend if far away. Have a special date or outing with your partner to celebrate the next chapter of your lives coming up.

We didn’t do an engagement party, my mom and MOH are planning a bridal shower and my girls are planning a bachelorette. He’s having a bachelor party too. Feeling spoiled enough!

We didn't have an engagement party and I don't regret it.

Now that I will be super pregnant, I'm cancelling having a bridal shower. Honestly until last year I didn't think that was a thing.

All our family and friends are from from us too, that’s why we decided to not have an engagement party. Instead my mom and her husband met us for a wonderful lunch.

My husband made my birthday party our engagement party. Cause he just proposed that afternoon before the party 😁

I think it can be a nice kick off to celebrate as a couple if its kept low key. We personally did not want to have one so we did not. I'd probably pick only one to do though, example : engagement party, bridal party, bachelorette, because I do think it can get excessive.
