    We video chatted my parents and we phoned his parents and sent pics of the ring. They dropped off balloons and cake a few days after. Our friends dropped off champagne and cards/flowers

    We facetimed to show the ring. My parents knew it was coming but did not know win. Popped some champagne and celebrated with cake with each side of the family.

    I'd imagine it would be them calling all their friends and telling them about it. Maybe fancy take out if they wanted to make a thing of it. How did you break the news to them?
