Emergency kit

Ludvis, on April 5, 2018 at 12:14 Posted in Before the wedding 0 8
Has any found any good wedding emergency kits?
Most I’m seeing are US so the exchange rate would be awful, but then again DIY would probably cost more?
Is it worth it to get and not chance on the wedding or chance it?

I bought a small one from chapters. It comes with so many things inside! My wedding planner also makes one for the day as well.

A DIY may cost a bit more but not much. You can get a list like the one Brittany shared and do it yourself based on what you will need and want. This way like Bianca mentioned it's personalized to your specific needs. That's what I plan to do.

I chose to just put one together on my own, as most of the pre-packaged ones come with things we don't really need.

I added some bobby pins, safety pins, spare shoes (like sandals to dance in), a mini can of hair spray, some baby powder, lipstick (make-up artist gave me some the day of), and a mini sewing kit, and my medicines I usually take. I found that it was all I really needed. My suggestion is to look at pre-made ones, decide what you would need and go grab them at the dollar store/pharmacy.

I would ask around to your girls, maybe do up a list of items you need and ask your core group (moms and bridesmaids) what they already own to contribute? I know my mom already has a min travel sewing kit, and everyone has bobby pins...

Then the remaining items you can scoop up at the dollar store for probably under $20.

Also, a lot of the lists I've seen seem to be a little excessive (like below)... Go with things that you know you would be devastated if you didn't have something to fix it, not every little thing that wouldn't be perfect...

Oooh I love this kit, it looks awesome!

Ludvis, I would say just get one for the bride, she will likely share with the other girls if needed.

    Costs so much.
Even if from the dollar store or Walmart the stuff adds up like crazy. I’m also deciding if to make all the girls one or just bride. I’m her MOH and just wondering. I want to get her at least something

Could you build an emergency kit yourself if you don’t want to pay for a pre-made one? This way it could be personalized to suit your needs!
