Drinking outside the hall?

I want to be able to drink outside the hall. The hall is not in city limits. There is a fire pit outside. Would be nice to drink outside. Is that possible is Alberta?

    Discuss it with the venue, if that is their set-up I'm sure they have already been asked..

    Just because it's not within your city limits, doesn't mean the hall isn't located within a municipality. But I would assume from a safety and risk aversion perspective, the business would probably not want their guests consuming alcohol next to a fire pit for obvious reasons.
