Down the aisle...

Lacey, on September 4, 2018 at 04:06 Posted in Wedding ceremony 0 4
I am having a hard time deciding on who I want to walk me down the aisle. Essentially my dilemma is weather or not I want it to be only my dad or both my mom and dad. I have no concerns when it comes to what is traditional as that is not something neither I or my fiancée care about. Has anyone else had both parents involved?

I am having my brothers sing and drum in our native language as I walk down the isle. I’m not sure how to incorporate my dad yet. My mom and the one brother I grew up with I had planned to walk me down the isle, as I wasn’t too close to my dad. I am improving that relationship tho so I’m not sure how it will work. Also my brother is very self conscious about his break outs and I’m not even sure if he will make it as he has mentioned going to Thailand again. Only time will tell.

I’m my fathers only daughter out of 6 kids, so I knew he was just waiting for me to ask him Smiley smile I’m so close to my mom, so I asked him if I could have both, he said absolutely Smiley laugh My parents have been separated for the past 24 years, but my family is so special and weird. We all get along Smiley winking

I have this dilemma too! I think my dad is expecting to walk down with me, but I'm not about the possessive connotations (good on you if it doesn't bother you). I might have my mom join us, she'd definitely be honoured, but it's not high on the priority list right now.

I'm having the same dilemma but I've decided to push it until last minute as it's not a pressing matter just yet Smiley atonished With me though there is also the third option of just walking down the aisle all by myself (although I am leaning toward at least my dad walking me down as to give me away - I like the idea of it and don't care what people have to say about it being "possessive" or what have you.)

I'm here to hear what others have to say though!
