DIY centerpieces. I’m not an artistic person so my coworker/ work mom said she’ll do it for me as long as I buy all the flowers. Any bride do their own centerpieces? Suggestions?

Me too! I would've never thought to have berries and leaves incorporated into my bouquets and centerpieces but when the florist paired them together with the calla lilies there were amazing! I can't wait to see them once she's finished with making them!

Omg!! I’m glad you got the flowers you want. I know sometimes we forgot how expensive flowers can be and if it’s hit the right season, good luck looking for them.

I was very surprised when he said he wanted to go to the flower shop with me to pick out the flowers lol I had told him I wanted Calla lilies for my bouquets and I was going to get my way no matter what! I totally get that! Some flowers are only during certain seasons.

When we went to the flower lady, the flowers we had picked if they were real would of cost us almost $3500 for 3 bouquets, 10 centerpieces, 5 corsages and 6 boutonnieres. Since we went the artificial way and I have to tell you the feel so real and look real as well, they cost us just under $1000

Awww thank you so much Amanda. That’s so sweet you guys are working on it together. And I was thinking to get a real flower for my bridal bouquet. I know the types of real flowers I want is not alive during August.

My fiance and I are doing our own centerpieces. We're going very simple. We're using artificial flowers that way they won't wilt during the hot weather. Our flowers are at the flower shop being made so I don't have a picture of the final product on in a box at the moment.

Each table will have a navy table runner with a square mirror in the center. With a vase that will have water and our flowers in it with a gold ribbon around it. The flowers will be hydrangeas berries and leaves. Around the square mirror will have 4 candle holders with tea lights in them.

Fresh flowers don't last long so unless you want your mom and coworker to scramble on the day of building 10+ centerpieces (assuming max 50 people with 4 per table = 13 tables), I would get silk flowers in advance. That way they can build them weeks ahead of time and it won't wilt.
