As promised, here is the finished signs I talked about making last week.
It took way longer than I thought it would, basically all long weekend, but I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out! Using stencils helped get the shape of the lettering, but the paint did run under and I had to adjust the edge of the letters in some cases. Also, the white required multiple (3) coats. The purple on the dark wood looks almost too dark, and I might paint over using a lighter shade so it's more readable, but I'm hoping our photographer can edit the colour in the photos.
I was going to do a sign with just our wedding date, but I saw way too many cute Pinterest signs with first date and engagement date as well. I painted a palm tree next to engagement since he proposed by palm trees. I will have this sign at the wedding too somewhere, probably at both the ceremony and reception.

I also did our hashtag (which will be used at our wedding too) and a sign saying: We're Getting Hitched. That one is purely for pun purposes since we are getting a photo of us on my truck's tailgate. If I drive my truck from Thunder Bay to London for the wedding, I'll definitely get the same photo but in wedding attire.

For the wedding I'm going to make a sign that says Thank You for our thank you cards, and maybe others if I get creative
