Diy favours

There was certainly a lot of work put into these homemade goodies. I made apple butter, apple butter with no sugar for diabetics, and tart peach & plum compote. I'm glad I didn't have to make 50 of them! Each jar has a little card on it thanking our guests for coming. I decorated the inside of each card with gold vines.

They were yummy (I HAD to taste them). The peach compote is tart but it's good as a topping on ice cream or pound cake.

Oh, yes. I remember that from another discussion. Don't forget to post a photo when you're done.

Thanks, Erin. Well, the theme is fall so what represents the season better than preserved fruit. What did you make as your favours? Show us a photo.

We don't have more than 30 guests so I wanted to make sure everyone had something.

That sounds delicious! It's very thoughtful that you ensured your diabetic guests would have something they could eat as well.

Hi Maegan, we only have 29 guests and many are couples so I only had to make 18 jars. That was manageable. If you had 100+ guests, you'd have to do something simpler. Some people might be having games at their wedding and homemade goods could be used as prizes. Then you'd only have to make one batch.
