diy Buffet

Felicia, on September 13, 2021 at 17:37 Posted in Wedding reception 0 2

Hi guys!! We're getting down to the nitty gritty now for our wedding in May - I have been ADAMANT about having my family sit back and relax and enjoy our wedding, however I am having a really hard time finding people to help serve/oversee our buffet dinner. We are going super simple with a hot dog bar so not overly a ton of work and my family/extended family are always willing to help and "work". Is it wrong to ask some of them to help during the dinner? Bringing out food and making sure it is replenished properly and warm and/or cold. I am really struggling with this but I also trust my family ONE HUNDRED PERCENT to make sure my and my fiance's day goes smoothly......suggestions????

Just hire two people at minimum wage for a few hours. Put a call on kijiji for people with kitchen experience. You could ask your family, and they likely wouldn't say no to you, but if it were me I would rather they just enjoy the day with you than to work for you.

Is there a Rotary, Kinsmen, or 4H club in your community? A lot of clubs will provide volunteers for a donation. Or what about the community association?
