Dinner Music

Hi everyone!

I'm having some thoughts about what music to play during dinner at the reception - I don't want something that is too party-like but also not boring like elevator music.. I've looked on Spotify and found a playlist that has newer songs but only recorded as instrumental (no words) and it's quite nice as it has good melody to have in the background while people socialize.

I'm just wondering what everyone else is doing and if the instrumental route would be a good selection Smiley smile

    I love the instrumental idea! We're planning on playing songs from "Music Travel Love"- they're on Youtube and do beautiful, soft versions of a variety of songs. I agree I don't want it to sound like elevator music!

    We're thinking of jazz club/lounge music that has a beat but overall pretty mellow.

    Hi Brook

    What we have decided to use for dinner music is the theme song from movies we like or from era's of the 80's and upward. And mostly instrumental and we are thinking of making it something for our guests to talk about if they can guest the movie that it was used in.

    I think that sounds like a good way to go 🙂 we did just very easy listening type music mixed with instrumental versions of some newer songs too. It set a happy and comfortable vibe for dinner that still easily allowed conversations to be had.
