Different name for a stag and doe that's not quite a real stag and doe?

Eizabeth, on August 11, 2017 at 10:50 Posted in Before the wedding 0 5

Hey Everyone!
My fiance and I are having a Stag and Doe, but a little different in that we're not selling tickets, we've just rented a party room at a pub, and are inviting everyone to join us there. We'll be having a few of those classic money-raising stag and doe games, but not selling tickets to attend, and just inviting everyone to order drinks/food from the pub individually.

Its going to be pretty casual, and I wondered if anyone had a suggest of something else to call the event to give that impression to our guests?

I have heard of a wedding social which I think is similar to what you are explaining. Not 100% sure though.

A Salon, if you want to get fancy about it. A tournament if you want to attract the competitive crowd.

I like that! Now that I'm thinking of it, my fiance used to live in Winnipeg and they call the stag and doe a "Social" there so it kind of makes sense to tie that in. Great suggestion!

We are having a Wedding Social. Basically just a get together for people to meet and get to know each other before the wedding. We are having a backyard BBQ and will not be playing any "wedding" games.
