Dessert/candy bar

Anjum, on July 29, 2019 at 22:05 Posted in Wedding reception 0 7
Hi guys!

i am considering having a candy dessert bar for my henna party and I received a quote which I am unsure if the quantity being provided is enough and wanted your feedback.

For 250 people, this is what the vendor is providing

•6 choices of desserts

- Cupcakes

-Cakesicles

-Oreo dips

-Pretzels

-Cookies

-Donuts

As for the desserts, it’s normally 40 to 45 pieces per dessert, as they’re going to be a lot on the table and additionally, there will be a lot of variety of candies, popcorn, cotton candy etc ...

I think it’ll be enough. You have to think that some people won’t eat any. Plus you’ll be having other things on top of the desserts... I think it’s a good amount.

It will be from 6-1 am, however, the dessert/candy bar will only be served from 10pm onwards

That sounds like a healthy amount of food. How long is the henna party?

Well I'm not sure what a henna party is - so I'm just going based off of a wedding and by the time that dessert comes out you would hope that your guests are full.

Yeah? I was worried about there not being enough but my family has always been the type the over order everything to make sure no one leaves hungry lol so I guess that’s making me hesitant

Sounds about right - you may have some people take more than 1 dessert, but you will also have some not take any (apparently some people watch what they eat... weirdos). No harm in asking for some extra that if you do end up having more than needed you can take home (and freeze if there is lots left or drop off at a homeless shelter or take to work).
