Decor! What are you going to diy and what will you only trust to professionals?

I'm incredibly type A so other than florals, linens, and table settings, I did everything myself (I recruited help but they worked for me 😆). This included all signs, escort cards, place cards (ceremony and reception), gift bags and tags for hotel guests, photobooth, and all the setup of course. The florist arranged our centrepieces (hurricane vases, votive candles, and table number bottles I made) for us with the greenery she added. I also made hangers for all of our dresses. Not worth paying for but super cheap to make myself (I have a Cricut... Did socks too haha). Our invites were done by a good friend who's a graphic designer.




(I put our names and wedding dates on the guest bottle too - yes that's a giant bottle of wine, empty!)

We DIYed a bunch of stuff. We didn't physically make anything but rather just bought all the required pieces for the centerpieces, aisle pews, etc and have our coordinator set it up on the day of. We also purposely chose a venue that didn't need much in terms of adding decor so it was very non-labour intensive. Venue took care of the linens as they were provided. Flowers were done by the florist.

I bought a Cricut on sale over the summer and am planning to DIY some signs, we also are having a custom metal sign made that will hang at the ceremony and at our house after.

I'm still super undecided about reception decor! Neither of us are flashy people, and I'm not a fan of floral decor.

I’m making all my decor minus fresh flowers.
Since there’s two cultures I’m making double the decor. I’m messing with resin projects, flowers hangers, flower back drop. Each weekend I set aside for four projects. I’m also doing all my favors but invites I’m ordering sinces there acrylic invites.

I'm DIYing all my reception decor! I have my centerpieces mostly done. I thought about DIYing our bouquets but I've decided I don't want to.
