You can do both of flowers and lanterns by alternating them down the aisle or using what you feel is enough for double use as table centerpieces for reception. The idea of having both as one (flowers inside the lanterns) artificial rentals to save the cost over purchasing price.

Not sure of your location/venue but we are planting flowers and using them for the ceremony/ reception. Always try for double duty. Approach local farmers, a lot of time they grow flowers and if you make arrangements now they may be able to help you. You can always try your local grocery store and ask them what the cost might be for them to order in for you.

Any way you can reuse this decor for anything else? Centerpieces? That way you'll get the most bang out of your buck. You will of course, have to have someone move the decor between ceremony and reception.
