So for my venue, they said that I can’t ruin the walls, ceilings, or floor / carpet. They didn’t specify what I can and can’t use but I know for sure no nails or anything that leaves holes. So what are some things I can use that won’t ruin anything? I want some drapery from the ceiling and maybe some hanging string lights or crystal beads. Ideas??

What kind of venue is it? If they only started doing weddings, what kind of events did they host before?

For drapery, you'll likely have to use pipe and drape. It's held up by a pipe that goes across and supported by multiple poles that stand on the floor. Depending on what their is, you might need to lay down carpet.

And for reference, in addition to nails and screws, you also can't tape anything to the wall using tape that leaves a residue or can peel paint like masking, scotch, packing, or duct tape.

You should ask your venue what other couples have done for decor in the past. They can probably give you some ideas of what's possible and they'll also be able to tell you if they have any existing hooks installed like Liberty suggested.

Id definitely ask! When we looked at our venue in person I didn't even notice the hooks in the ceiling until the person pointed them out!

I’ll have to ask about if they already having anything installed. They sent me a video and it didn’t look like it. I’ll ask about the command hooks too but personally I’ve had a commas hook peel tape off so we will see 🥴 Thank you!

Do they have anything installed on the ceiling already?? My venue has hooks in the ceiling already so we can use those.
They also said we can only use painters tape to attach anything to the wall. There's a double sided painters tape for attaching poly, so we are going to use that.
I wonder if you would be allowed to use command hooks?
