Couples getting married on September 19, 2021 in Ontario

Jessica, on November 14, 2020 at 09:07 Posted in Ontario 0 1
Good morning everyone,
I just recently got engaged on Halloween actually. My fiancé and I are now starting to plan our wedding for next sept. As much as this is exciting and I can’t wait to plan all the things surrounding this big moment in our lives. I’m also nervous and I’m sure many are planning a wedding during a pandemic. Any tips or anything for anyone to share? I would love to hear what everyone is thinking. Let’s hope all this has subsided by the time we all get married.

    Congratulations on your engagement, Jessica!

The first thing I recommend is paying attention to your local pubic health website for updates on protocol. It's very easy to take news bites from media reports or to hear Doug Ford make a statement during a press conference and take it as is but often these statements can be simplified, lacking info on measures from municipal health units or worse, misinterpreted. Go straight to your public health website to read the rules.
The next is to understand and accept that your wedding plans will likely change many times over the course of the next year. It's the nature of pandemic wedding.
And finally, have fun with the process. Yes, these are trying times but you should make the most of the experience despite the restrictions.
