Well...our date NOW is May 6. We got double booked on May 27 and instead of making 2 brides cry, we changed our date. 😊
    Dress, done.
MOH Dress, done.Hair/makeup artist booked.Photographer, booked.Officiant booked.Save the date Cards, done.Hotel blocks, done.Kissing Game, done.Ceremony, Reception venues, done. (Our venue has the stress free package which includes EVERYTHING so im pretty much done lol). Only thing for me to do is work on the invites, place settings and any items I want to place out with the guestbook table. My fiancee is responsible for his suit/tux but of course im over seeing that.Wow...reading all this, I did a lot! I went to the one in Toronto. The restrictions will most likely get better beginning March 21, since they are lifting the mask mandate. It sounds like things are getting better.

You are lucky with your venue option. I think we have decided on a church wedding and a venue elsewhere. Our date is going to change to June 2023, since the venue we liked booked May 6 Smiley sad

I was thinking about waiting untill restrictions are lifted but it sounds like that might be a bit of a gamble. Was that Kleinfeld in Toronto or in NY? I want to find a second-hand dress which would mean less time for an order but more for alterations.

Our venue has a chapel on site which was a big perk being able to have everything in one place.

I went to Kleinfeld and they only allowed 1 guest to come to the appointment. Which was a little unfortunate. Some boutiques are restricting the amount of guests per bride. Once I found my dress, they told me it would take 10 months for it arrive. Alterations should be done 3 months in advance of your wedding. Covid has caused some delays on getting the dress on time. That is why I decided to do that first. The dress appointment was really fun though. Smiley smile

We also visited two venues but have not booked because we are not sure about where the ceremony will take place. We also met with a reverend this week. We are trying to decide between a church ceremony or an outdoor one.

It's never too early to shop for your dress! I bought my dress in January 2019 for my August 2020 wedding. It took 7 months for it to come in! We've postponed twice because of covid so it's been sitting in my parents closet passionately waiting for the big day.

I've been hearing from other brides and shops that some designers, it can take up to 10-12 months for a dress to come in because of shipping delays. So going shopping a little bit earlier these days wouldn't hurt at all!

I had done some research on venues so we only visited two and booked recently. I was wondering if was too early for dress shopping but I don't think there are rules against doing the fun part first. How was the dress shopping process with COVID rules?

We have been looking at venues mainly. We are hoping to book sometime in April of this year. Our date is flexible for the month of May 2023. I already bought my dress though Smiley smile We are doing engagement photos in 2 weeks.
