Hi fellow summer covid brides! Hope everyone is doing well and planning is going smoothly!

We got engaged June 26, 2020 and are getting married June 26, 2021 in Toronto!

We have accepted that our guest size will be about 50 people. Anyone else's venue forgiving/negotiating over new government mandates?

    Thanks for the info! Ours originally has a minimum spend but hopefully they’ll reconsider with the new government mandate...they’ve been really considerate thus far!

    Welcome to Weddingwire, Stephania!

    We're in Toronto but getting married in York Region. Our venue won't hold us to any spending minimums if government restrictions are still in place. Just so you know, it is illegal for your for your venue to try and enforce your contract's guest count to be over any of the maximum allowed gathering numbers. I hope they're not giving you a hard time with this.
