View quoted message It depends how your venue interprets it. Event spaces are closed until stage 2 which Ford has projected to start July 5th so if your venue considers themselves an event space then they will be closed in Ontario on June 26th. Ceremonies are permitted outdoors with 2 meter social distancing, however, my understanding is receptions in stage 1 would be limited to the 10 person gathering limit (inclusive of any vendors).

View quoted message Our venue just told us they have availability in July and August of this year if we want to move our date. So we’re debating doing that or just eloping June 26 and using the money we’d save on a nice honeymoon for the two of us.

Same fear here even though I’m not till next year June. My guest list is 200 and I’m hoping to complete contacting my vendors. All I need now is decorator and florists. I have everything else in place. The planning by myself is hard. I have not a lot of family support. The people I thought were my friends became not friends since my engagement. Everything is all over the place. My sister coerced me into making her my maid of honour and now she wants to treat my wedding like her instagram dream wedding (which I can not afford). It’s getting too much for me I wish I had just eloped.

I am really trying to be optimistic. Now that dress shops are starting to open back up I feel a little more relaxed. We booked all our vendors and venue as quickly as possible (thank you video chats!!) so we have our date locked in which is what I was most concerned about. I hope we wont have to wear masks on our wedding day, but if we do likely everyone will be used to it by then? I am also hoping we will be allowed to invite all our guests as our guest list is just over 200.

We're hoping for June 26, 2021 - We just got engaged on February 22nd, 2020. I can not wait to FINALLY marry my best friend!! We haven't found a venue yet but are looking in the Niagara on the Lake area as that's where we live.

Hey! I'm June 26, 2021 as well. I'm a type-A organizer so I've already got all the big vendors booked. I've started looking at dresses too. I'm probably going to go the consignment route, so looking around early probably isn't the worst!

I moved to Canada recently and I don’t really have friends here. I try making friends with my fiancé’s female friends but since our engagement they’ve all turned against me except his best friend who is a girl that has been very helpful in the process.
I wanted to do something small since I don’t know a lot of people but he does and I feel like I’ll be depriving him of his dream big wedding. We have to pay for everything ourselves because my dad is dead and his parents don’t have a lot of money either
