Couples getting married on July 9, 2021 in Alberta

Hi There, are any couples getting married on or around July 9, 2021 near Ponoka, Alberta?

Currently, the restrictions are very limited. We can only have 10 people at our ceremony, we are not allowed a reception. This just is very tough right now. My fiancé and I had planned a list of about 25 people, and another of 50. I thought we were on the same page of regardless of anything we would 100% be getting married. As i do not want to postpone. July 9th is our anniversary.

Is anyone having any issue with this? We are getting married at the family acreage near Ponoka, Alberta. I am just curious to see what others are doing to handle this situation. If you have any ideas on what to do to figure this out. If postponing is the only option right now. My fiancés family is a lot bigger than mine, growing up he was very close with his grandfather, aunts and uncles. So i think he is going to be very upset if we decide to have our big day without them there. I know he would do it for me, but that's not what i want to do. i want us both very happy.

Thanks, Smiley heart

I'm praying that the restrictions do get better by the summer. I hope that you're able to have the wedding you want to have.

My fiance and I postponed for the second time last week to next summer for a few big reasons. One, we're getting married in BC and living in Alberta. the premier really is discouraging people to come to BC and could possibly be fined if you're pulled over. Second, most of our family is having to travel from all over Canada to be at our wedding and if we can't have the most important people with us to celebrate, we just knew it was best to postpone. My fiance's family is a lot bigger then mine as well. Even though we only have about 65 guests, we want to be able to have a somewhat of a normal wedding with a reception and a dance in the evening to be able to remember 40-50 years down the road and not regret anything
