Couples getting married on July 31, 2021 in Ontario

Mine is end of August. I am doing outdoor ceremony and hopefully inside a restaurant for reception! doing 30 people, anyone optimized 30 ppl will be okay ?

We will be getting married no matter what. Originally we were going to get married at a venue a little later in 2021 but they had strict mandatory minimum numbers they couldn’t waive even if it was COVID times so we decided to not put anymore money towards that since there are so many unknowns. We decided instead to do a summer wedding so we can do it outside at a family farm. No clue what numbers will be but we sent out a save the date to everyone and let them know we will keep updating them on the wedding and that if we can’t have them we will find a way to celebrate later. We both have large families so we have discussed doing separate family celebrations later and maybe a big anniversary party on a few years.


I know this has been hard for everyone but I went to a very small COVID wedding this past summer and it is one of the best weddings I’ve been too. It was so personal and intimate and everyone got to spend quality time with the couple which is so special!

We are planning to get married regardless, but we think if we are not allowed 100 or more people we will postpone our main reception until 2023 so we can move on and focus on buying a house.
