Couples getting married on August 21, 2021 in British Columbia

Hello! I was originally supposed to get married August 21st, 2020 but I have had to postpone to next year. Even though I unfortunately lost some deposits I am actually very excited about my new wedding date and ideas. It gives us another year to save and plan and it's been almost fun starting from scratch (we decided to change the location) and getting the whole planning experience again. While I'm sure our wedding this year would have been beautiful, I just know waiting until next year it will be amazing!

I really liked August 21st so I wanted to try and keep the date, lucky for me it falls on a Saturday and it's also the ONLY Saturday in 2021 where the day is also 21, so it should be a popular day! So many vendors are already booked, but so far I have confirmed my photographer and officiant which makes me more relaxed. We are doing a very small elopement with family at home so we don't have to worry about catering, venue, or accommodations. My fiance and I want to take a helicopter to a mountain top for a private ceremony and then enjoy the day with family. Even though our wedding is very small we live in Ontario and didn't feel comfortable traveling that far in just a few months when a lot of our family are older.

The last thing I wanted to point out is that August 21st, 2021 is a Full Moon! Which is considered a very lucky and fortunate time to get married. Technically August 22 is the 100% Full Moon, but the 21st-23rd are all still considered to be a Full Moon as well.

Why did you pick your date? Tell me about your plans!

We picked August 21st 2020 because we got engaged on February 21st 2019. A fun thing about it that I realized this year is that avatar (the last airbender) day is February 21 haha
