Couples getting married on August 2, 2020 in British Columbia

We decided on Sunday of the August long since my family and my side of the party is coming from Ontario, my future in-laws and many of fiancés side of the party are coming from Edmonton. My fiancé and I are also making the drive (likely with our photographer and her gear) from Edmonton but obviously need a few extra days prior to the wedding. The long weekend seemed perfect and the venue and vendors were available with 4 months notice (plans got pushed forward due to an upcoming move out of the country). Now fingers crossed we can actually get married on Aug 2!

We are August 2nd on Vancouver Island. It wasn't our first date, but it's working out great with so many out of town guests. It means we get to spend longer with our guest and we have lined up a few other events we can take part in over the weekend with them too. Congrats xo

I was pumped that a long weekend was available! We can spend time with out-of-town family on Saturday, get married on Sunday, and everyone will have Monday to travel home and/or recover for work on Tuesday! It couldn't have worked out better for us!

It wasn't our first choice, but we really wanted the venue, and it was only available that day. Plus our day needed to be in the summer!
