Couples getting married on August 1, 2020 in Quebec

Omar, on May 16, 2020 at 01:25 Posted in Quebec 0 1

Hi Everyone,

How is everyone doing and coping with these times?

I hope that you all are staying safe and motivated for the big day coming up.

Given how 2020 looks so far, I have been shifting my wedding budget to be more flexible with my financials as they change day by day.

I would love to know what everyone is doing to keep wedding expenses under control! Smiley laugh

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Stay safe everyone!

Omar

Hey Omar, with things as uncertain and chaotic as they are it's great that you're working on being flexible, just in case. We have a few articles that might help you think about how you reconfigure your budget:

One silver lining I've seen other WeddingWire couples talking about lately is how staying at home is helping couples spend less these days, and how postponing is one way to give yourself more time to save up.

A few other ideas are to skip wedding favors and wedding programs, to DIY a seating chart instead of buying escort cards, keeping your guest list and wedding party small, reuse bouquets as reception decor, and always let your vendors know your budget so they can suggest ways to make it go further!
