Hello Everyone!

I guess we share wedding dates ! How's your guys' planning coming along? Where we're all in such close quarters we may have some unique (and relatable) insight to help each other troubleshoot potential problems (etc).

I'm located in Moncton. My fiancee and I had originally planned a SUPER tiny wedding...Like, I was thinking out-the-door cost $2000, but so far that has tripled, which really still isn't much... but it's kinda funny to see how one aspect gets more extravagant and then everything follows suit!

I'm at an awkward, restless point where most of my plan-able stuff (at this point) is done, so now I'm just (impatiently) waiting for my silk flowers to get across the border so I can start some serious DIY-ing. If I can use this restless energy to help anyone out let me know!

I'm planning on doing all of my own decor and bouquets etc. I've chosen rust and champagne as our colours so I've got some orchids, calla lilies, and fillers coming in in those colours. I did a trial run on my mother's bouquet (she's standing up with me) with the first order of flowers I made and I found I was going too heavy with the "fall colours" in general, and the reds really muted my ACTUAL colours. So after a few frantic tears I put in another order for a stricter colour scheme. I'm sure I'll be able to use the reds and yellows that I've already bought.... just not for the bouquet.
I've always wanted cascading bouquets, and even though they seem to have gone out of style I'm still planning on doing it

Budgets do tend to do that, don't they?! What do your flowers look like? Will you be DIYing the centerpieces, the bouquets, or both?
