September 23 is our dating anniversary so I’m really hoping we are able to book this date. We’re just looking at venues now so fingers crossed!

    Hi y'all,

Congratulations on getting engaged! My fiance and I picked our Venue and photographer so far, but everything else is still up in the air - as it's still super early. We also bought our first home in February 2021 shortly after getting engaged on Christmas, so a part of our attention is going towards the house and moving in together right now.

We started doing our bridal party proposals this month, and plan to have a little "I do bbq" at the end of the summer/early fall to bring everyone together for the first time. We originally wanted to do a bigger engagement party this year with our extended families, but with covid we decided to move it to next year.

My ideal colours for the event is the Pantone colour palette "Golden Hour", with some touches of gold and sparkles.

Question for this group - is anyone doing pre-marital classes?

Hi Mellissa! My Fiancé and I decided to go with an all inclusive venue as we are paying for everything ourselves too. The venue includes a day-of-coordinator, centerpieces, linens, set up/tear town (both ceremony and reception), tables, chairs, ceremony site, passed apps during cocktail hour, 4 course sit down meal, late night buffet and open bar. We're getting married in a Tuscan garden and then having our reception in a breathtaking hall. I was a little skeptical at first with all inclusive venues but they make your life so much easier. Our venue was also VERY affordable all things considered.

    Hi Mellissa,

Just wanted to say I love your date! (it's my birthday on Sept 23). I have 2 wedding planner books, one is my workbook (it has every single idea I have) the other is more of my final vision. I suggest for decor Amazon or the dollar store, especially if you are playing around with ideas just get something cheap from Dollarama (they have a wedding decor section) and see how it works with your vision.

Have you made a pintrest board? I've been using it for ideas as my colours are lilac, lavender, sage, and gray. It may give you some easy ideas for decor! Also before making any huge choices on where you're gunna buy your decore, check Amazon. A lot of the time I find beautiful things you could get in bulk. Maybe able to help you out (:
