We decided to do a “minimony” on this date if we’re not allowed to do our whole 150 people party and then a year later we’ll do the party when it’s safest. We just don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable and honestly it’s felt pretty ok knowing we have a plan A (the whole party) and a plan B (just the ceremony) and that either way we’re getting married on the 20th. It’ll be our 7 year anniversary of being together 💕 We’ve been together for so long we didn’t want to wait any more haha!

View quoted message I think because we made the decision to wait if we can't get married on our date that I am not freaking out. We know what we want to do if we have to. I don't have to order invitations yet so I'm not too worried. We have been waiting about seven years to be able to have the wedding we want so for us waiting one extra year won't be a big deal. I'll still be doing the ceremony on the day of our wedding no matter what day that is. It would be harder and more stressful if we wanted to just cancel the whole thing though. I love those little wedding deals I've been seeing. Everything you need (except licence and rings) for about $3000 you can have 18 guests super cute. They are about an hour and a half. Nicer than courthouse wedding.

View quoted message I just tried to contact the venue but got a email back saying they are out of the office due to COVID. So i dont know. If we are still in lock down like this at August we might just do a court house wedding. Im starting to freak out and were still pretty far out 😰😰

View quoted message Our next deposit is in August too. I haven't talked to anyone there yet. I figure they must be crazy with all the summer weddings they are canceling right now. I don't want to have the wedding right now if I can't have the people I want there. I'd rather postpone another year. I'll get a hold of someone by beginning of August to see what our options are. I don't mind paying the next deposit now even if we have to wait another year. I still want to get married there.... What have you guys decided to do? Have you talked to anyone from your venue yet?

How are you guys feeling about keeping this date? My next deposit is Aug 2020 so im wondering if its worth to keep putting money into a event that wont be what i signed up for. What are you guys doing?
