What made you and your SO choose this date for your wedding?

Funnily enough, our date was basically chosen for us. My uncle had already planned out a trip to Canada, and so we decided to choose a date that would work for him. I'm glad we did, though--I think having it on a Friday meant that a lot of vendors that were already booked had that day open.

We have had a lot of people decline because of prior plans, but that's ok. I think weddingwire (or maybe the knot?) had a list of days to avoid and this was one of them, because of the long weekend, but I don't regret it.
