Cost for Toonie bar

Ariana, on January 7, 2019 at 06:19 Posted in Wedding reception 0 4

I'm trying to figure out how much a toonie bar would cost, we're planning for around 130 guests! How much did you end up spending on a toonie bar & for how many guests?

Thanks!!

we aren't doing a toonie bar. we are doing an open bar where we bring in our own alcohol, and the hall supplies all mix/glassware etc for a per persona fee. this chart was given to me by my venue for planning/how much booze to buy.

count each person (regardless of age) because then that makes up for the heavy drinkers, vs the non drinkers. also think of your guests, you know a lot of them. so you have an idea they consume (for us, our friends are rye and vodka drinkers...i am getting extra of those).

not sure what rules are in alberta. but in Ontario you can return bottles as long as they aren't opened and beer can be returned as long as the case isn't open. so i personally feel buy more than you need. better to have more than not enough.

We are doing a toonie bar. We're having about 200-250 guests (once we count in all our wedding crashers who will be coming after dinner!)

We are spending about ****$ on liquor/beer/wine for the bar, and then another 1000$ on mix (pop, juice, tonic water, etc), cups, shot glasses, lemons/limes, etc. We think we'll get 90% of the alcohol portion covered by the 2$ per drink. We are not charging for pop, of course!
