Help!! We are no longer doing our destination wedding next march as my mom is unable to go due to serious health issues that have come up. Obviously i want and need my mom there for my big day. Now besides being stressed and upset im looking for somewhere to have our ceremony. We have our reception booked. Can someone help me in the protocol is to get married in a church? I am christian, though i dont attend church anymore. Any advice would be helpful. Looming for either in stoney creek/hamilton area. Thanks in advance to all my fellow brides. Xo

    There are several wedding officiants who would come to your reception hall to do the ceremony. My daughter did this and it was great because we didn't have to get in the car and drive to the next destination. It was set up beautifully for a ceremony, then quickly converted to serve the dinner.

    Thank you so much Katherine! Thats what a few friends have suggested as well. There are a few places i have in mind, so i will have to look into them

    I'm not Christian and my FH is barely, although we have both been baptized... We are getting married at the United church in my home town... The only stipulations were that at least one of us be baptized, we attend pre wedding counseling and we attend two church services... My BFF also got married there and her minister was even less strict... I suggest you start there they seem very accommodating.
