Choosing your Witness

Honestly the only duty the MOH and BM will have for our wedding is to sign 😆.

Haven't gotten there yet but I'm going to have my MOH (who is my sister) and BM (my fiancé's best friend) to do it. It makes it easier since they're already up there and for the BM my fiancé is going to be his BM next year so it solidifies their friendship a little more!

I witnessed my besties wedding, so I feel its only fitting she witnesses mine (my MOH). And then BM is my FH brother, which he witnessed at HIS wedding, so again, just seems fitting those 2 will witness for us.

I don't have a MOH just 3 bridesmaids. My cousin will be signing. We've been best friends for like 26 years. My Fiancé has a BM so he will be other witness.

View quoted message I love that! We honoured our parents as much as we could. We love our MOH and BM but ultimately our parents were why we were there (i.e. raised us etc and supported us through everything). We ended up getting married with only 10 people at the park so our MOH and BM weren't even there but we are so happy we had them sign. It was my dad and his mom in the end. They also sat at the head table with us, although that's Jewish tradition - we wouldn't have had it any other way.

Seems like most people are doing BM and MOH there isn’t any stipulation that your witness has to be Canadian, right? 🤔
