Chocolate fondue help

Rekramer, on April 10, 2018 at 14:22 Posted in DIY 0 2
Hi all, we are doing a chocolate fondue for the late night. We bought our own fountain and I’m planning to make my own chocolate for the fountain. Anyone ever made chocolate for a chocolate fountain before (NOT fondue) and want to share the recipe? I’m hoping to make it out of something fancy like guerlain or Lindt chocolate.

If you're just looking for melted chocolate, find milk or semi-sweet squares at Bulk Barn or another food store. If you want european chocolate, you will pay quite a bit but the plain chocolate will melt just fine. Whatever you do, DO NOT buy baker's chocolate; its 90+% cocoa and very very dark. Unless you have vegan guests, it won't be a hit.

For a fountain, you'll need quite a lot of squares. Perhaps it says how much the fountain will take for your guide. Melt your chocolate in a metal mixing bowl inside or over top of boiling water so it doesn't burn. Once it's melted, it will be ready for your fountain.

I didn't make my own chocolate really.

Someone gave me a chocolate fountain for christmas once. And I was super pumped about it.. till I realize just how much chocolate you really need to have melted in order for it to fall nicely and that clean up is a nightmare Smiley sad

    Good luck on this venture!
