Hello!
My Fiancé and I are getting married in August 2026.
As we build the guest list we are always on the same topic ... where do we make the vut line on the guest list and how do we keep it "fair"? We both have very large families so with just our basic list before children is 75 people and our goal is under 100. So if we open it up to the younger crowd we are looking at an additional 20-50 guests, We love children but as we plan the wedding and talk the topic we both think back to how many weddings we attended as kids and how much we actually recall .... so if we need to make "cuts" this is one we thought might be easier to accommodate and keep our guest list where is needs to be and also squeeze in the handful of friends / extra family we want to invite.
We also want to be able to enjoy ourselves and not have to worry about anything and also want our guests to have the best time as well ........ BUT we worry that inviting / opening up to our guests (family / friends) to bring their littles it wont be as much of an experience we had hoped...
HOW do we say "no" to bringing kids?
Happy planning
