Charger Plates - Yes or No?

If you can afford them, go for it. Otherwise I'd skip the charger plate. I'd rather allocate the money to something else (especially since it's not even the right colour!).

I do see your point of not going with the chargers due to the charge of shipping for the extra numbers to order adding to your budget. Not on that point, just having to consider reselling being harder after the whole event.

I do agree the napkins are a better solution and the option of black on white with the saying of Mr. & Mrs. with the name and date underneath it.

We're not doing charger plate - our venue will have small place-setting plates with a candy-box favour on the plate. I didn't feel like I needed to run out and rent chargers.

Is there an unconventional/alternative you could do, like a placemat? They could be cheaper but still give the look of a table setting.

I think that's what I'm going to end up doing... hey, it saves money right? Not the end of the world - just the end of a decor idea.

I thought about it - but with shipping added and then I would have to clean them (renting=return as is) I would sooner just order customized napkins (they had one wedding at my venue use plain ones and it looked alright.

Our colours are Plum, Teal, and copper - I looked into even clear or plum or teal but have had no luck finding any.

The offer alternating but the other charger plates they have don't really fit in and would add another colour to our colour scheme.

Hmmm, that is tough. I agree with Becky, you can try ordering them online and then reselling them afterwards.

Personally I would just eliminate them all together if you don't like the idea of alternating colours, or can't find what you are looking for
