Hello! Hoping to get some feedback from everyone. I am thinking of skipping charger plates and going for a folded napkin/menu combination, something like this:

table setting idea undefined

Is anyone thinking of doing something similar?

I love this, it's so elegant. I am also a huge fan of functionality over just having something there. I say go with the napkin/menu display.

I think that's elegant and simple. It's perfect.
I too am reconsidering charger plates as they're not something most guests will notice. If I do them, it'll be for me.
(Then again, I suppose most things décor-wise are, LOL).

I'm doing napkins in lieu of charger plates too!
Personally, having charger plates is another thing I can do without with weddings. Having a folded napkin in the same spot (napkins are provided by our venue) works just as well.

What a lovely alternative! I’ve been feeling like I absolutely need charger plates but I would bet less than a third of my guests could even tell me what a “charger plate” is 😂

I may do something similar - I really want copper charger plates but I haven't been able to find any yet...
This would be a lovely alternative.
