Champagne toast? Or whatever's in your glass?

Our venue offered wine and not champagne. It would have cost us more to order just for the evening.

We had wine on everyone's tables and so we did toasts with that and I had champagne because I hate wine! Also for those who don't drink or weren't drinking that night toasted with water or pop etc. So basically whatever people wanted!

We wanted a toast right after the ceremony, but logistically would be too complicated because our ceremony is in a park and we cant/dont want to get a liquor licence. Toasts at the reception will be whatever is in their glass

We had champagne right after the ceremony and then during speeches at dinner people just toasted with what they had

We did our Champagne toast right after the ceremony. We also had sparkling non-alcoholic cider for the kids and those who don't drink alcohol.

We are having our guests toast whatever is already in their glass!
