Ceremony house rules

My fiancee and I get married in just 17 days! I can't believe it! I need help how to word, "because of restrictions we are not able to hug you but would love to have you show your love with us with a champagne toast."

Good wording in phrasing good spirits in this time for guests to know what to expect. If there was something little to add, it could be: We ask you hug us another time when we visit.

    I think Hank nailed it!
I really like that you're taking a moment to prepare your guests. I think as a guest I would appreciate knowing a bit of what to expect at a covid reception.

    Congrats on your upcoming nuptials!

How about:"Please join us in this champagne toast to each one of you who are here to celebrate our love. The world may be in a weird place but we'll get through this with our health and spirits high, and when we do, we'd love nothing more than to give you all a hug. Until then, cheers!"
No mention of the words covid or pandemic to dampen the mood while giving a hopeful finish.
