Centre pieces gone... bad?

Chanelle, on February 21, 2020 at 21:38 Posted in Wedding reception 0 5
Ok SOO after forever making my centre pieces I finally found a set up I love which involves tall candles and pampas grass. Later to discover well if the grass were to catch on fire... poof.. very flammable. Which I don’t want a hazard. Is it weird to just have non lit candles on my tables all night ???? Or do I need to start over😅😅

I mean honestly I’ve seen this done at weddings before like taller skinny candles and like florals so close I was WAITING for something to catch on fire and nothing ever did.

The battery operated ones are a great alternative! We are using them at our wedding because we have eucalyptus on the tables. Plus, we dont have to worry about them burning out before the night is done!

I should be more specific. They’re black candle sticks in brass candle holders!!

They have led tea lights (although they look pretty fake). If you frosted the glass, no one would notice.

I've seen some cool centerpieces where the tall taper candles and their holders we're inside glass vases. That would keep them away from the grass. It would add a cost to your centerpieces, but starting over fresh might too.

Another option is led candles but I haven't seen many tall taper style, mostly fatter pillar candles but they would look great with pampas grass too.
