If you're looking into Peterborough, look at the Arts Barn. I was at a wedding there a few years ago and it was spectacular!

There's also an awesome little farm called Drumoland orchard in Little Britain which isn't too far from the GTA. they are a full service venue.

Ashley, we had the same issue, but we have decided to have our wedding at a resort and the prices are amazing! We will be offering 3 choices of plated dinners, and they range from $32 to $35 per plate and include a 4 course meal and tea and coffee alll night! The kids menu will be $8 per plate! I'm totally happy so far with all the service and care that our venue has provided! They've been amazing!

Great! So you can check it out, then. I'm in Oshawa and my fiancé is in Pickering so the venue was about halfway between. We really liked it and I hope you will too, but things book up quickly so the sooner you get there and give them your date, the better.

Would Deer Creek be fairly close to your area?

We're getting married in North Ajax at the Deer Creek Golf Club. Their menu starts at $80.00 per plate and includes 3 bottles of wine per table of 10 guests, punch and snacks before the meal, and the venue is not extra. We decided on the buffet for $82.00 per person because there was more variety.

There are always options for outside caterers being welcome at a venue. Make sure you do your research though so that the venue doesn't charge you for having someone come in.

Not sure which area you're looking at, but the Hilton Lac Leamy has great low cost packages which you can tailor. Also, Sala San Marco in Little Italy is pretty good too!

Hi Ashley! You can definitely look for venues that allow outside caterers, I'd just do enough research to make sure that this is actually a cheaper option! I'd research venues AND caterers simultaneously
